Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady sailings revealed

This week Virgin Voyages announced the itineraries for their new venture. How excited are we at the prospect of this? Do you think it is something you would like to try?

i would love to try it. I always enjoy new experiences and do not think we will be disappointed with the product. Virgin has a highly thought of reputation, so to venture into the cruising market and go up against the likes of Royal, P&O, Cunard, celebrity to name a few they are going to have to make a statement.

So here is what they will be offering?

First of all the vessel will be a modest size and carry 2,700 passengers which I think is a good size.

Due to launch in 2020 they will be offering these four itineraries:

Havana after dark- 5 nights. This will feature an overnight in Havana.

Mayan Sol- 5 nights.

Dominican Daze- 5 nights sailing to Puerto Plata

All sailings will depart from Miami so will give you the perfect opportunity to tag a cruise on to a hotel stay in Miami or visa versa.

The sailings go on sale as early as next week, the 14th of February. details of how to book I’m yet to learn.

The Scarlet Lady will be 93% of cabins will offer an ocean view and 86% will have a balcony. Each balcony will have a hammock, while every standard cabin, inside and outside will have transitional beds. They refer to these a seabeds and can be folded up to create a sofa or let down to sleep on. I can’t wait to see visuals of the cabins, I imagine they will stick to the theme of the colour red. Every cabin will be fitted with a 43in 4K flatscreen HDTV, minibar and wardrobe.

As a selling point of you it will be nice to offer an alternative to new and regular cruisers.
