Celebrity Edge Cabins

My last Blog was when I had recently returned from my stay on the new Celebrity Edge chip whilst it was in Southampton. On this Blog I wanted to go into more detail of the cabins on board that I viewed.

Concierge- This was the grade that I stayed on and on first impression it is modernly decorated and very spacious. We were lucky to be on the AFT and had great views. The little extras available in the cabins are miniature binoculars, golf umbrella, bath robes. I would say the only downside to being positioned at the AFT, is it is a long way from anything so definitely not for anyone with walking difficulties. he en suite was of good size and had  a shower door, which some people do ask this question when booking a cabin.

Iconic Suite- Wow this is really how the other half live! This costs between £18- £30,000 per person depending on sailing. The cabin is 1892 square feet in size, and is the largest cabin on board. Positioned high on top of the ship above the bridge even. It consists of two bedrooms and two bathrooms, separate shower and whirlpool bath. There is a surround sound system and 65” smart TV. If this isn’t enough space for you, you also have a private outdoor space with hot tub and covered day bed. It felt like an apartment and didn’t feel like you were on board a ship.

Penthouse Villa- I would say inside the area of space is amazing but I was a little disappointed with the balcony that stretched the length of the room as it had a slight overhang and I found this a bit off putting. Other than this its a beautiful cabin, again with two bedrooms. There is a master bath with a whirlpool tub.

Edge Villa- I think this was my favourite room type. It is spread across two floors and has a lounge kitchen area downstairs where you walk out onto a private balcony with a seating area and hot tub. Upstairs the bedrooms are spacious with amazing views out to sea.

Edge Stateroom with Infinite Balcony- Its really clever how they have designed the space. The balcony is part of the room and there is a button which closes down the blind to close off the seating area.

Deluxe Ocean view– Now if you are like me and do not spend a lot of time in your cabin, I would 100% recommend this cabin grade. It is really impressive and not what you expect from an ocean view cabin. When you walk in you can see straight in front the floor to ceiling window. This lets so much light into the cabin and is a really good size.

Another good feature the cabins have is a box on the vanity area which has nearly every plug you can think of, including a USB drive.

Overall I would say this is one of the nicest ships I have been on. i would recommend it for couples or families with older children. The ship offers children’s clubs and obviously there are pools but if you want actioned pack entertainment like ice skating or climbing walls then this isn’t for you.

The quality of food didn’t disappoint either, in the buffet if you come across the cheesecake lollipops you must try them. I find on american cruise ships the desserts aren’t always the best but the choice of food including a Gluten Island there is a huge selection.
