Britannia Brawl

This is was reported in various tabloids that a brawl had taken place on P&O Britannia. The fight took place early hours of Friday morning when a person said to be wearing a clowns costume sparked a violent brawl. Obviously not a ;laughing matter as two have been arrested after plates and chairs where said to have been thrown. The incident took place in the Horizon restaurant and lasted around ten minutes with a few people ending up with cuts and bruises.It says it had been after people had been drinking and I can imagine it was quite scary to witness. The only blessing is if it occurred in the early hours children wouldn’t have seen it, with it being the school summer holidays. Is it a result of people being excessive with the new all inclusive drinks package they offer? Also referring back to the clown outfit, I was of the understanding that no fancy dress was permitted.

I guess from P&O’s point of you good or bad publicity if its free is still free advertising at the end of the day.

It is sad to hear when things like this happen as it is a minority, thankfully.

I’m going on the Britannia for a mini cruise in September and looking forward to a relaxing weekend. My friends who are coming have’t cruised before, so lets hope they haven’t seen this!
