Fjords…Amazing Part 2

Day 2:

So after leaving Dover our first day was at sea…which was a nice opportunity to relax, chill out and have a look around the ship.. We had our first formal night tonight and so was ready to get the posh frock on and get dolled up.

Our first breakfast experience was lovely, they had everything, Full English breakfast, cereals, cold meats and fresh bread…Yum Yum.

Sea was calm and I felt very relaxed and ready to enjoy our first formal evening.

We met the Captain, he was from Finland, but they did stipulate that he would not be shaking hands with his passengers, due to Health reasons, after all we can’t have the Captain unwell. Dinner was amazing, the presentation of it was fantastic, as soon as we had finished our glass of wine, another one was poured.

Monday 30th April – We woke up in Bergen, the sky was blue and not a cloud in sight, we had decided to get off the ship independently and have a mooch around Bergen and see what it had to offer. Shops were very traditional and also expensive, My mum collect fridge magnets and I think I paid £8 for it.  Lovely marina with lots of boats, the town of Bergen reminded of the children’s Programme Balamory, the houses were different colour’s and was thriving with tourism.

It was such a beautiful day, that we decided to get back on the ship, enjoy lunch and then sit out on deck with a Beer and enjoy the sunshine. The waiter service was fantastic, they bought us Peanuts and twiglets to munch on whilst enjoying a nice cold beer. The ship was very quiet with fellow passengers off doing their excursions.

Sailing out of Bergen was fantastic, the scenery was incredible… Next stop Flaam. Stay tuned for my next Blog.
