The Perfect Taster Cruise with MSC

I recently embarked on a 3 Night Voyage with MSC on board MSC Preziosa from Hamburg to Southampton

The Ship – The MSC Preziosa is a Fantasia class ship and entered into the MSC Fleet in March 2013, At full sailing capcity she holds over 4300 Passengers. Back in march i was lucky enough to join my colleagues on board MSC Bellissima before she set out on her Inaugeral sailing season in the Med and i was really impressed however it was my chance to experiance MSC on an actual Sailing

We Flew to Hamburg the day before our Voyage and got to experience the sights that Hamburg has to offer

Embarkation – We arrived at the terminal around 11:45 and the queues were non existent, meaning we were on board and in the Golden Lobster restaurant in plenty of time for Lunch. First impressions of the main Atrium when you board the ship really do you the WOW Factor the Swarovski Crystal Winding Staircases and Panoramic glass lifts really shout Italian Elegance and the ship itself was beautifully presented.

Following a delicious Lunch in the main restaurant it was time to explore, Preziosa consists of 18 Decks with a vast array of entertainment dining and leisure options.

A Few things you will find aboard include a full size F1 Simulator, Mini Bowling and 4D Cinema as well as a full Doremi kids club to keep the little ones entertained. The Platinum theatre offers 2 shows every evening from the very talented on board production team and you will find Themed evenings going on around the ship during your voyage.

On the upper decks you will find an array of leisure facilities including the beautiful Aurea Spa, Gym and Pools – Check out the Garden Pool at the back of the ship, the Infinity pool is the perfect place to soak up the sun on Sea Days or if you are feeling a little more daring try the Vertigo water slide – Complete with a Glass domed section giving you incredible views out to sea

Dining

Main Restaurant – Golden Lobster – We dined here on both the first and last evening of our cruise, personally i preferred the earlier sitting of the two options and found the service to be a lot better on this seating. During Lunch time they offer both A La Carte and Buffet style dining in the main restaurant

Galaxy Sushi Restaurant – Ranked as the best Sushi at sea the galaxy restaurant offers Sushi and other specialty Japanese dishes if you are looking for something a bit different.

Butchers Cut Steakhouse – Cost of 31 Euros per person supplement. On the second night of our cruise we sampled the butchers cut steakhouse.

Overall i would certainly recommend MSC for a cruise and as Preziosa has been enhanced for her Southampton sailing Seasons, I found that the ship as elegant yet relaxed and would definitely choose MSC for my next cruise
