Cruises for Singles

Cruising is the perfect solution for guests travelling alone. There are many single guests who want to travel but are afraid to do it alone.

Maybe you feel you will become lonely or vulnerable.

On a cruise this is not the case.

Cruising is great for solo travellers as there is  so much of life onboard that is geared towards bringing people together and is a very safe environment.

Sign up to group of activities and excursions that interest you and if you make friends as soon as you get on board then ask what excursions they are thinking of doing.

Some cruise lines arrange a welcome party for solo guests just before dinner so this is a great opportunity to make new friends.

Big or Small ships?

I always believe the smaller the ship the more comfortable you will feel and you will make friends easier and see them everyday, on a big ship you may not bump into them for the remainder of your cruise.

The beauty of solo cruising is that you can suit yourself. You may want to take part in an excursion or may even want to remain on board and take part in the activities that are still running while the ship is in port. Have a few hours in the spa or go for a coffee. Visit the library and take your chosen book to the top deck and enjoy the views with the drink of your choice.

Dining. I always believe it is a good idea to request a large table for dinner, that way you’re bound to meet an array of different people, and most likely make some friends to stick around with.

Cabins.

Single supplements can be a burden, but there are now many cruise lines that offer single cabins and at a great price.

Why not even think of sharing with a fellow solo cruiser if you don’t wish to stay alone?
