School is out for Summer…..

Well its the day many parents fear, the start of the School Holidays.

This year is quite a different year for me as it will only be my youngest daughter, Amelia, heading back in September. my middle daughter completed College earlier this year and is taking a year ‘off’ before deciding what path to take.

Many families will be heading away on their Cruises these next few weeks. Many from Southampton, but lots venturing outside Europe where they seem to get better value for their money. I have seen a huge increase in families travelling further afield now in order to get better value.

Booking these family vacations are a real struggle for a lot as they command such hefty premiums to have to travel within the holiday or ‘peak’ dates. The average 14 night family Cruise can now cost upwards of £5-6k for a family of 4 wanting a 14 night Holiday.

The best time to book I feel is as soon as the Season is launched. Cruiselines you to do this once a year but now have split the launches into twice yearly. The allows people the possibility of booking more than one a year at great launch prices.

As a family of 5, I have always struggled to get a good price. Last year, we opted for MSC who were such great value we even managed a Suite that held all 5 of us. The Perks that also came included made it such great value. We found MSC one of the most competitive prices out there as they also allow children’s fares upto the ages of 17yrs.

Keeping your options open are the key and I do always advise to not get too drawn in with the Promotion on offer from the Cruiseline. ‘Free’ doesn’t always mean free. Agent’s like myself have the knowledge and ability as well as financial protection, to give guests their best options.

Booking through an agent like myself is a smart way to look after your hard earned Money. I can offer the impartial advice on any cruiseline out there being a part of one of the Uk’s largest independent Cruise Company out there.
