Belgrade Cruises

Belgrade is a fascinating, buzz-worthy city in transition. Areas like the Savamala riverside district have been reformed as creative hubs for artists, students and entrepreneurs. Old meets new around every turn, making it an exciting destination to explore on foot. You’ll spy former socialist blocks sandwiched between art nouveau buildings and Roman ruins in this intriguing hodgepodge of styles! Apart from the architecture, head to Belgrade for its lush parks and opulent coffee houses. The Knez Mihailova is a pedestrian boulevard to the Kalemegdan Citadel, with historic sites at every turn.

Belgrade, Serbia

BELGRADE - DID YOU KNOW?

Republic Square is a good jumping-off point for your explorations of Belgrade, being a popular meeting place for locals. It’s home to the National Theatre and Museum, where you can learn more about the history and culture of this Serbian capital. Science buffs won’t want to miss a quick trip to the Nikola Tesla Museum, dedicated to everything Tesla-related!

Kalemegdan is the city’s main historic fortress, with its foundations dating back to 373. Positioned at the end of trendy Knez Mihailova, it’s been used by Romans, Celts, Turks and Austrians over the centuries to guard the city! You can easily spend the better part of an afternoon here visiting its multiple attractions, ranging from outdoor park space to the Military Museum.

Explore Belgrade’s modern bohemian side with a wander down Skadarska Street, known for its talented musicians and outdoor cafes to watch them. An offshoot in this area is Cetinjska street, a hub for nightlife in the city with its rows of bars and nightclubs.

Cuisine in Belgrade is a tempting blend of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian influences, so you can dine on smoked sausages, spicy meatballs, rich chocolate tortes and fresh feta salads. Grab lunch at a riverside restaurant overlooking the Danube to enjoy the view.
