Adelaide Cruises

South Australia’s capital city, Adelaide is a true treat for Shiraz lovers. The region is famed for its wine production, with some of the country’s top mature vineyards close at hand in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley. Where there’s wine there’s usually a thriving fine dining scene, so don’t miss the treats at the Adelaide Central Market. Have a wander around this elegant city and you’ll see lush botanic gardens and parkland, stately museums and a bevy of bustling shops in Rundle Street. It’s the perfect place to watch the world go by, with its street entertainers and outdoor cafes.

Adelaide

ADELAIDE - DID YOU KNOW?

If you want to see how Adelaide has been built up over the years, take a stroll down North Terrace to see the blend of architectural styles in the stately homes, monuments and buildings here! This street houses a number of buildings from the Victorian and Edwardian eras, including Parliament House, the Art Gallery of South Australia and the South Australian Museum.

Ayers House is hard to miss with its gorgeous exterior, once the home of Sir Henry Ayers. You can take a tour to see its lovingly restored interior, a trip back in time to the colonial era with its plush furnishings and impressive artworks.

Before embarking on a wine tasting tour in the Barossa Valley, you could visit Adelaide’s National Wine Centre of Australia. Whether or not you have a personal taste for a fine vintage, it’s interesting to see how these products are made and learn more about the history of the industry here. And of course, you can taste the different varieties along the way!

Adelaide is a foodie capital of Australia, with more restaurants per capita than any other city here. When hunger strikes, head directly to the excellent food stalls in the Adelaide Central Market, or treat yourself to dim sum in Chinatown.
