Will England win the world cup?

This week I wanted to talk about something different other than cruising and holidays. I wanted to talk about my other passion. No not my wife. Football. Not just any old football but the World cup. Its 52 years since England won the world cup but this year I think it could be the year our 3 lions get their hands back on the trophy. The odds of England winning is 18-1. I am so confident I have evened gambled some of my hard earned cash on it. If England were to pull off the unthinkable I will win £1300. I will let you work out your self how much I put on.

Why do I think we can do it…. 1. The manager. When we sacked Sam Allardyce after 1 match i thought we had gone crazy. What i found even crazier was placing Gareth Southgate in charge. The same Gareth Southgate that got relegated with Middlesbrough. The same Gareth southgate that missed a crucial penalty in Euro 96 to break England fans hearts all over again. However I think I may have been wrong! Since Gareth has taken over I have seen a different side to England. He has picked players on form and put them in the right positions. Not only that they seem to be enjoying their football. The team itself isn’t too different to the abysmal display in the euros just 2 years ago. Back then we couldn’t even string 2 passes together. I know I have only witnessed friendly matches so far but I just have an excitement now players don’t seem nervous and there is no expectations. People may laugh at the thought of England winning the world cup. Them same people who laughed at Leicester winning the League or Portugal winning the Euros. 2 things that have never happened before so it is not beyond the realms of possibility. If you are an England fan and you do happen to be on a cruise during the world cup do not despair as most of the cruise line will be showing it whilst you are away. #bestofbothworlds.
