Alaskan Sojourn - Seabourn
Wonderful cruise round trip Vancouver in Sept 2017 Spectacular scenery and wildlife from a stunning all inclusive ship. Excellent food in MDR and Collonade ...... a little cool to eat dinner at the Patio Grill but a good option at lunch time. Even managed to swim in the ships pool on two occasions and used the hot tubs often...... either with a cocktail or a fortified hot chocolate. Crew and service were what weve come to expect on Seabourn . Friendly, efficient always making an extra effort to please. Excellent room service every morning for breakfast in our V6 balcony cabin and also at dinner on the two occasions we dined course, by course in our cabin. Stewardess kept our spacious cabin and beautifully appointed bathroom spotless! Always greeting us with a big smile! Ports were interesting and not overcrowded with other ships at that time of year. Did one ships tour to see whales which was amazing. A small boat with only around 12 guests from Ivy Straight Point. Saw one of up very close. Other ports used local transport or ship transfers. Sitka took taxi to Fortress of the Bears then on to the bird sanctuary and walked back via Totem pole park and along the shoreline trail. Mount Roberts Trsnway was tight opposite where we were docked . You can by a day ticket and went up twice. Booked local tour bus out to see Mildenhall Glacier - a waste of time as you font Get close and the ship takes you much closer to others later in the cruise. We were a little reluctant to go cold water cruising but are so glad we did! Weather out of Vancouver was wet and misty and we saw everything in Monochrome but the sail back was stunning in technicolour and brilliant sunshine!!!
