Getting to a destination
Seabourn Sojourn is simply a home from home. From the moment you join the ship you are made to feel special. The staff are amazing, so friendly and kind and how they remember your names after the first day is astonishing. We had a balcony suite no 521 which was a really great position right next to the lifts but the cabin was so quiet and we heard nothing from the corridor. We were equally happy the time we travelled on Seabourn before and had an oceanview suite. The TV in the room had a library of current movies for a quiet night in and if you fancied a bottle of your favourite wine it is just a phone call away. In suite dining is also available and room service will deliver caviar at any time of the day or night. The bathroom had a shower plus separate bath and his/her sinks and all done out in marble for the luxurious feel. A separate dressing area and dressing table for the ladies. Products were quality Molten Brown and the stewardess even provided as a treat Molten Brown bubble bath. Food and drink onboard was simply the best. The food was wonderful with several different venues to try. Unlike other cruise lines their speciality restaurant did not require further payment and really there was absolutely no need to open your purse whilst onboard as everything was catered for. Several bars onboard serving nearly every brand you can imagine and oodles of champagne. Lots of activities organised for guests including dancing and crafts. The entertainment crew were fantastic and we particularly enjoyed the musical evenings. We started the cruise in Los Angeles and visited several Hawaiian Islands before heading towards Bora bora and Tahiti. Lots of sea days which we love. We didn't purchase any of the excursions as they seemed expensive and we were happy to hire cars and scooters privately for our tours. The beauty of Seabourn is that the ships have endless areas to just sit quietly.....find your special spot and relax!!!! The only negative I can muster up is the lack of complimentary wifi which would just be the icing on the cake. We were entitled as silver members to a limited amount free which we found vanished oh so quickly as the system was so slow. I would highly recommend trying this high end cruise line with a family feel and see for yourself as you won't be disappointed. Go on treat yourself.
