Early March and Snow Sleet and Bitter Easterlies make an Ideal scenario to slip down to Gatwick and eight hours later arrive in Barbados. A short taxi ride brings you to The Gap. Stayed at the Ocean 2 complex which was an absolute delight. Great Hotel. Great Staff. Great Location. Great Food. Drinks. A brilliant Hotel. . After 3 day's of paradise we were forced to go North to Bridgetown and join the "Odyssey". What a Wonderful ship. We were upgraded to Deck 7 which was a great position being on the main pool deck , bar, outdoor Grill. 2 Jacuzzi whirlpools. perfect location. Barbados to Martinique.A lovely leisurely tender ashore for Grande Pression lovely. Next stop St. Kitt's and the Ultra Impressive Carambao Beach Club. Seabourn's Signature Beach Bar B Q. Brilliantly done with Champagne and Caviar served off surf boards followed by an Open Bar and Bar B serving Lobster tails in lemon butter absute culinary Utopia. Next stop Antigua and a pre booked hire car giving us all day to tour the Island. First Up Shirley Height's, the Antigua & Barbuda Cultural Centre and then down into Nelson's Dockyard National Park. Brilliant History. Stunning Location.Clever Man that Nelson ! After the History a classic drive over to the West Coast and Conch at Darkwood Beach .After Antigua we Sailed across to Guadeloupe which being French has that laid back attitude which is so magnetic. Next Stop Bequia in the Grenadines and I must say the most beautiful of all the Islands I have visited on a par with Montserrat pre volcanic eruption and St. Barth's 25 yrs. ago. Idyllic lazy seafood lunch at Princess Margaret's Beach. And then it's off to Castries skirting up the west coast in the shadows of the Pitons, absolutely stunning.St.Lucia and back to Barbados. Perfect.
