What has gone wrong at Seabourn?
Never again will I waste my money travelling with Seabourn. Just returned from Christmas in Caribbean, ship was staffed with many inexperienced staff that were unable to give the service we paid for. At least that was the reason given by the captain. A senior restaurant manager called me a liar when I complained about his girlfriend! I must question his priorities in his response. Many other past Seabourn passengers resolved not to trave!I with them again, it certainly not worth the premium paid. Money would be better spent upgrading to a suite on an alternative Lowe priced cruise line. It was difficult to believe it was the same ship on almost the same itinery, these people must remember it is easy to lose customers but very hard to get them back after such disappointment. All of my comments were related to senior officers but so far nothing forthcoming,. The Hotel Director did his best to cover matters up but retreated rapidly after I had made him aware that I knew of the relationship that existed between the restaurant Maitre D' and the receptionist, something he obviously knew about when trying to placate me, I was asked what would it take to make me happy to which I replied that I wanted nothing but what I was paying for and for nothing more or less. I was not interested in what felt like an attempted bribe, for whose beifit I wonder.? Look out for a 10 dollar charge on your account without seeking consent, it purports to be a UNESCO contribution but the advertising states that tour prices INCLUDE a contribution to this cause. I feel it with that this report has been required but these so called 6 star standard cruise lines still have to keep them up and not show disdain for their returning passengers by reaching the lowest service they can get away with.
