Wonderful Cruise on Harmony of the Seas -Suite Cabins
RCL (Royal Caribbean) Harmony of the Seas was a beautiful ship. We were planning to stay in a balcony cabin however we received an e-mail to bid on an upgrade. It was our first time doing this and decided to participate. We thought we would bid for the cabins that have an upstairs with the master bathroom and a king-size bed. It's not an enclosed room, you can look over and see below (it's like a loft set up). It was very nice, there was a beautiful tv that went up and down when it wasn't in use. Downstairs there was the main living area and a half bath and pullout bed for our daughter which was very comfortable. There's a desk and chair and there was a coffee table which we used to play games. The balcony was very nice. What I especially liked about these suites is you and the guests in these cabins have access to the restaurant for suite guests only plus the concierge team of two who were very helpful. Lastly, aside from prioritization on and off the ship, you can gain easy access for seating at the shows in a special section for suite guests, and on the private island, there is a section for only suite guests with an upgraded menu for the buffet!!! The food was very good and you also have complimentary wine and beer. The wine selection was excellent. If you wanted a beverage in the middle of the day, the soft drinks and water and coffee and tea are readily available. I wish I had the latte machine in my kitchen. Press a button or two and there you have it! The staff was very cordial and friendly. We loved the entertainment, there was plenty to do and if you didn't want to get off the ship at a particular port, the ship was beautiful and it was quiet since many guests were exploring a port.
