My Amazing Cruise
We booked this cruise a few years ago and we lifted and shifted due to Covid19 Pandemic. A few weeks prior to sailing our itinery changed, we were no longer on a med cruise (11night) but a British Isle cruise (6 nights). We waited to see what money we would get back before we decided. We had a drinks package and thankfully after a few phone calls we were able to keep it. We had an amazing deal so we decided to go on the cruise. This was the best decision as it was amazing. Very nervy with the run up due to having a covid 19 PCR test but it was so easy and every thing was explained. Just make sure you print out your proof of vaccinations, your PCR result and your sea passes. A couple of weeks prior we did a bid to upgrade. Wow we got a upgrade from a virtual cabin to a balcony room. The room was amazing and only £90.00 extra. We got a check in time and you must adhere to this. We were checked in and on the boat within 30 minutes, very impressive. Everything was so safe I felt really comfortable. Lots of hand sanitiser stations every where, you press a button to open the toilet doors ( wipe is available to use.) Mask are worn inside. The capacity was less and me personally I prefer this. We used the app to book the North Star and the I fly. You could pay for this for a longer experience but we were happy going on the shorter experience at no extra cost. Highly recommend. Anthem was amazing, bumper cars was fantastic and was hilarious. Windjammer was just as good as before, you just get served your food and you are taken to your seat where before you could never get a table. The weather was amazing and we saw dolphins, wow is all I can say. We have been on med and Bahamas cruises and never saw dolphins. Liverpool and Belfast was great. We had dinner in the Main Dining room at 8.00 and the food and service was amazing. All the staff on board were so friendly, helpful and all looked happy in their jobs. The only sad thing was the first day we managed to try the bionic bar on the first day, it was lots of fun and I got a little tipsy, but sadly the rest of the cruise it was not in use. This was very annoying especially for people that were not fortunate to try it on the first day. Apparently they were waiting for parts but surely you should have back up parts but that was the only negativity I have. Anthem and Royal Caribbean are a great cruise line. I would also like to thank Holly from Cruise.co.uk for all her help with this cruise. Lastly our cabin was 11694, very spacious and a great view from the balcony, no noise either.
