Bigger is better

We took a cruise on Regal Princess on the 5th of January 2019. We have been cruising with Princess for a number of years now, and find them to be a first class all round cruise line. I decided to upgrade to a mini suite when I booked, as we normally book a balcony. The cabin we were given was L105, which was an outstanding cabin, comfortable and spacious, with a very large balcony right at the front of the ship. We were in fact situated in the middle of the front, right above the bridge, so we had fantastic views at any time of the day, weather in porch or not. As part of this cabin, we were also offered Club Class dining, which although is a little bit snobbish, was fantastic. No queues ever when we went in for dinner, at any time of the evening. We were shown to a secluded part of the restaurant, and the menu had a larger variety of meals than the standard menus. The service was also impeccable. The only disadvantage of this cruise was that we set off from Port Everglades, went to for islands on Eastern Caribbean, then back to Fort Lauderdale, with some passengers got off and others joined the cruise, to then go and visit some ports in the western Caribbean. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and as you would expect, the cabin steward was super efficient and friendly, without being in your face. The main theatre had some very enjoyable shows, certainly a higher level than we had experienced on previous cruises. Although we could keep our cabin, we had to check out of the ship, wait for about an hour or so in the terminal, before being allowed back on board. I have Although we could keep our cabin, we had to check out of the ship, wait for about an hour or so in the terminal, before being allowed back on board. I have got to say that the princess needs to find a more efficient way of handling passengers who are not disembarking. Other than that, a highly recommended cruise, on a fantastic cruise line, in the beautiful Caribbean.
