Occasion:
Annual/regular holiday

Cruise Elements:

Quality of Food:
Savor and Taste restaurants were our favourite spots.
Entertainment:
Burn the Floor, didn't think I would enjoy it a huge amount BUT it was awesome...
Shore Excursions:
The best 'trip' we did was in Roatan where we got a local driver to show us the Island. Initially a little out our comfort zone but Emerson was honest and really interesting. Would recommend.
Staff:
We didn't meet up with any 'surly' staff, however, we didn't see our cabin guy at all during the voyage..
Onboard Activities:
A lot to do if you wish to avail yourself of them.
Cabins:
Cabin was excellent size and had decent storage.
We had been wary on huge ships, the biggest one prior to this had been Celebrity Eclipse. We chose NCL's Getaway out of Miami. Boarding was late due to a member of staff having fallen overboard just off Cuba but all went well despite a somewhat confused drill. We had a balcony near the front of the ship which had a decent size balcony, cabin was lovely with plenty of room for storage. Cruise was to Roatan, Harvest Caye, Costa Maya and Cozumel. We had pre booked for a couple of shows and reserved table at the normal restaurants. There were three we could use and though we were tempted to pay extra for the speciality restaurants we were more than happy with the choices available. The longest wait we had for a table was ten minutes. We enjoyed the tables for two as they were by the windows. The two main shows we saw were 'Burn the Floor' and 'Million Dollar Quartet'. We also enjoyed 'Howl at the Moon' and the comedian. The shows were spectacular and I would have paid money to see them at a theater on land. The main question we had was would we find a ship with some 4,000 passengers feel over busy. Well, the only place we found it to be 'busy' was round the pool area when the dive bombing contests were going on amongst other bits of fun. It was loud but our fellow cruisers were well behaved and a pleasure to travel with. We didn't do any of the nightclubs as that's not our scene. The casino was good for the slots for the first couple of days but the machines seemed to get tighter the closer we got to the end of the cruise taking back any winnings... We loved the NCL all inclusive deal and took advantage of a cruise deposit scheme they were running which doubled our money in. Hence we will be travelling with NCL again, looking at either a run out of Singapore or a Transatlantic... or both !!!
