Fantastic food and the best entertainment at sea!
We sailed on the Norweigan Epic around the Mediterranean and it was fantastic. Once you get over the slightly odd layout of the bathroom in the cabin you realise it actually works quite well. The food in every venue was good although the premium French restaurant was by far the best and worth the money. The entertainment was great. The Priscilla show was the best thing I have seen on a cruise ship and had the audience in stitches. We were a party ranging in age from 33 to 69 and we all loved it! The howl at the moon piano club was a find only on the last night and we were disappointed to have not been sooner and it was brilliant. Really interactive and great music. The all inclusive drinks package helps as you don't need to worry about spending. Only negative on that is that it does not include premium coffees which is a very big shame as these are cheaper than alcoholic drinks but are charged. The excursions organised by NCL were expensive and therefore we didn't book any. From speaking to some other people on the cruise who went on NCL excursions, whilst they did say they enjoyed them there was a sense they were over priced. Some said the most expensive excursions they had seen on a cruise ship. I think this could be something NCL could review. The staff were all lovely. They could not do enough to help and nothing was too much trouble. Particularly the waiting staff near the pools who went out of their way to find out what you liked. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and who definitely book again. We would recommend reviewing excursions in advance and trying to arrange your own though! We hope to be back on NCL next year!
