My wife and I had the most wonderful experience on board the MSC Sinfonia, embarking in Durban, South Africa and sailing for 11 nights, visiting the sun-baked beach paradise islands of Mauritius and Reunion. It was a real relaxation cruise, one designed to de-stress and rejuvenate the body in preparation for the start of the new year. That it coincided with the new year festivities made it even more amazing. The time given to enjoy the island experiences was more than sufficient. The on-board evening shows were of high quality. The service was excellent. Having booked early, we enjoyed a massive discount of around 40 %, leaving us with enough funds to spend freely. The Sinfonia organised tours on the islands were extremely well organised and rather enjoyable. The food too was tasty and plentiful. Where food and drink is plentiful one needs to pay attention to keeping fit. In this regard we made the best use of the fitness facilities provided, including the gym and morning walks. Those upper deck morning walks were both enlightening and refreshing, exposing us to the first of the morning sunshine. Watching the new day dawn during those fitness sessions was just so therapeutic. We emerged from the trip feeling fitter and more energised despite the nightly partying and indulging. As music lovers we were spoilt for choice, for every entertainment venue provided a different selection of music. Whatever the age group or music-taste there was a venue that catered especially for you. We also appreciated the newsletter outlining the daily programme of events which was slipped under our door early enough for us to plan our day in advance. Our friends who travelled with children also had a ball as MSC provided facilities to take good care of children. The kids also loved it as such things as arts and crafts kept them pretty well engaged. It must be pointed out that it was this MSC Cruise that got my wife and I hooked on Cruising. Thank you MSC for perfecting the art of cruising. Harikrishna Sarivasa Naidoo & Lalletha Naidoo
