2nd MSC cruise in the last 8 months and it will definitely be the last. After our cruise last May on the Seaside we were thinking of cancelling this one, but decided to go ahead assuming it couldnt be as bad again. Wrong. Nice ship, good staff just not enough of them, quite clearly costs are being cut to the absolute minimum. For me one of the biggest pleasures of cruising is the food, not with MSC. Most of the food, both in the main restaurant and the buffet was Luke warm at best, portions were really small ( which may suit some people) and I do know you can order extra. Why would you if its not up to scratch. Breakfast in the buffet has to be seen to be believed, only 2 egg stations to serve a ship with almost 4500 guests on board, and only 1 of those stations had a frying pan. They only cooked omelettes, nothing else, and the omelette was the worst I have ever had in my life. Only 2 toasters to serve the whole ship. Food put out approx 30 mins before opening time (6am ) and place didnt get busy till 7.30ish, cold, cold cold. The best meal I had during my fortnight away was on the flight home, I kid you not. We had pre booked a drinks package only to be told as soon as we were onboard that it only enabled us to purchase 1 type of beer. All the prices had been increased recently by 10 cents to take them over the threshold so that you need to upgrade your package. It was still good value for money but thats not the point. I booked believing I had a package that would suit us. There are lots of other little irritations that all mount up to ensure we will never book another MSC cruise For the general customer, MSC is no better than 2 star NEVER AGAIN
