MSC DIVINA Fantastic cruise
There are many different reviews and opinions published on MSC Cruises. For me this transatlantic cruise was exceptional. I enjoyed every minute of it. I joined the cruise in Miami and headed out on a 11 Day Caribbean cruise to Mexico and Columbia. The cruise had been charted by a vegan group and made mealtimes interesting .The itinerary was great and interesting and the crew really made our experience special. We returned to Miami to then take a twenty day crossing to Genoa. Quite an adventure . The guests were somewhat different but most of the crew remained the same. A hightlight was two days in New York which was fabulous and we docked very close to Broadway and the centre of town. Spectacular sailaway. We were disappointed that our port of call, Bermuda was cancelled due to bad weather and the alternative, the Azores was a little less exciting but fabulous weather on the day. Lisbon was excellent, we hired a minibus with friends and drove to Fatima as the ship was docked overnight in Lisbon. We had a fabulous tour taking the coast road back to Lisbon . The food and service in the Black Crab Dining room was exceptional and our waiters were outstanding. All going the extra mile. The buffet was always busy and sometimes this was an issue, sometimes certain items of food were cold. A number of the crew in the buffet were extremley helpful and would always try and go beyond the call of duty. Our cabin steward was attentive and detailed, the cabin was clean and much larger the many we had experienced on other cruise lines. The whole ship had a great atmosphere and felt like a holiday within a holiday. The shows were outstanding even after 31 days . The classical opera singing was a real joy and of an exceptional standard .So impreessed we have booked another cruise with MSC for October 2019. The whole experience went far beyond our expectations and we have seen MSC just get better and better over the years.
