On August 12th we went on one of Spirits last cruises before returning to Mother Company. We flew from Edinburgh with. BA as there were apparently no TUI flights available. We flew on Sunday. Flight one hour late leaving with no explanation until about 5 minutes before take off when we were advised that due to excess weight a decision had to be made to have passengers leave the aircraft and travel on a later day or luggage would need to be removed. Ground staff took the decision to remove cases although none of us knew whose case had been off loaded. As you can imagine much consternation was caused onboard. On arrival at Malaga we found that around 27 passengers had been affected. No luggage carousel was moving and no one was there to help us out. After some of us started wandering around asking questions we were directed to a luggage report queue. After 15 minutes we were told we were in the wrong queue. We were sent to a different area to queue and then there report details of our missing luggage. We were then sent off to our transfer coach with luggage. From pouring rain and cold in Edinburgh we had arrived in Malaga to intense heat with our warm travel gear on. Little did we know we would be in these clothes for 3 days until our luggage arrived well into Tuesday evening. By this time we had got completely disenchanted and just wanted to go home. Many visits were made to reception for a solution but staff there, although very pleasant knew nothing as to when or how wed see our cases. I may say some, I understand did not see their luggage till around Friday - 5 days after leaving home. Only due to the brilliant staff on board did we find a holiday Spirit. On returning home we have been chasing our complaint with TUI who hablamed A and left it to us to progress our complaint with BA. TUI dont want to know. At this time of writing - 5th October we still have no solution from BA. Blooming disgrace from TUI with whom we contrCted our holiday. THEY decided to use BA. Also blooming disgrace from BA who have not concluded my compensation claim. You both need to do better and get all these complaints fixed. Hard to know if well use TUI again.
