The lady Entertainments host in the Ballroom, so friendly and played what we asked for and joined in with our dancing and taught her a couple of "strolls ".
Onboard Activities:

Very clean and well presented, however, There was a lot of creaking from the wardrobes and one night during a swell there was a noise like "marbles" rolling around in the ceiling.
My wife and I went on the Queen Victoria for a 10 day cruise to the Canaries, This was the first time we have been on a Cunard cruise. We had booked a Balcony on the 11th Deck , the cabin was lovely and clean, the steward was very polite and friendly. We ate in the Brittania Restaurant , the food was really lovely and well presented. The Ballroom was exquisite and so lovely to dance on, I actually learnt to do the Waltz and Foxtrot however we prefer to jive , which seemed to please a lot of people who stopped to watch us and compliment us. The people on the cruise were very friendly as were the staff. The entertainment was really good , however, I was not impressed with the Leaving harbour party, during one such party, the resident group played nothing but Reggae which was quite boring considering of couple of songs seemed to go on for ages. Lets have party music and songs which everyone can join in. The same resident group although they are good whilst they were playing in the Ballroom AGAIN it was mostly Reggae. There was only one big band night which was really good BUT I think another one would have been nice. The waiters at times in the ballroom were nowhere to be seen especially during the early part of the night. These are a few bad points but it did not detract from the enjoyment we had on the cruise. There was a lot to do during the day from playing games to Quiz nights in the British Pub. The pools were nice although we stayed in the adults only area. The disco was really good, the DJ played everything we asked for and was very friendly. The main question is would we go on another Cunard cruise , the answer to that is an emphatic YES YES YES. The opulence of the ship, the friendliness of the crew makes it all worthwhile.
