We had an amazing Mediterranean and Adriatic cruise on board Cunard Queen Victoria last year from Southampton. The food, service and entertainment was second to none and we loved the visiting speakers. Cant wait to go again, to sit on that balcony and cruise gently along the Grand Canal into Venice. We especially enjoyed the formal evenings and captains welcome meeting when we had the chance to dress up and have wonderful moments captured by the on board photographers. We enjoyed the dance lessons and using the spa and on board gym to help work off the benefits of all that beautiful food. We liked the choices provided for dining. The fact that you could dine almost any time in the informal buffet or you could be waited on by well trained and courteous waiters in the superb formal dining areas. Staff were always there to please and would do their utmost to please every guest. What we love most about cruising is being transported to the most amazing destinations in complete luxury. Once you are aboard and unpacked your holiday starts instantly. Your cabin is your home for the next few days and ours was very clean and comfortable with endless toiletries and a tea tray. The balcony allows you to have outside space privacy, for us it was absolutely amazing when we were able to sit there sipping tea and cruising by St Marks Square in Venice. If youre a sailor you will really enjoy the daily updates from the Captain and we were so pleased that we still could access the internet to keep in touch with friends and family. If reading is your thing the library is amazing on board and of course for others there are a variety of crafts and courses. If you forget to pack anything the shops can help and the information desk is open 24/7 staffed by wonderful people. If youre wondering about cruising all I can say is its an experience, a great way to see new places, meet new people and something you will never regret!
