Seems to me that as Cunard didn't supply what was advertised, and what you had paid for, you have a valid case to claim against Cunard.

Australians don't do formal. Are you saying they shouldn't be allowed on Cunard ships? Seems a bit extreme. We're not all the same.

I appreciate that some Australians " don't do formal" but as it was clearly stated in the Cunard literature and website why did they come on the cruise ?? Do they think they can pick and choose and ignore what they don't agree with regardless of anyone else.

The dress code issue has rumbled on and on for years. It's impossible to please everyone. I have long ago decided that I will dress appropriately and everybody else can do as they please. Cunard are a business like every cruise line. They are not going to turn away the business of a whole nation because of a dress code.

If you feel that you and anyone else can dress as they wish then you will no doubt have no objections when someone sits at your table and smokes ?

Silly comparison. Smoking is harmful and stinks. How does someone sitting next to me without a jacket compare to that?

If you can choose which rules you wish to obey then you cannot object to smokers or anyone else.....or are YOU the only person who can decide which rule to accept ??

I always follow the rules, dress code, smoking, the lot.
