Cunard drips in elegance and style
The best way to spend Christmas is on a cruise which weve been lucky to enjoy many times. This time Cunard was our choice after sailing with them before. Yes its a different style of cruising but for all its style and elegance, true Christmas spirit, (proper) Carols with mince pies in the Atrium, amazing food and service all outstanding. The staff are professional yet not stuffy and the whole experience youd definitely enjoy if you liked the refinement of Downton Abbey! If youre unsure about being on a medium sized ship if youve only sailed on smaller ships of never sailed, then dont be. The larger the ship the more room to spread around. Its like being in a luxury hotel (only better) and someone moved the scenery around! The silver service afternoon tea is wonderful and of course its all free. Drinks are reasonably priced and served with canaps. Theatre shows are good and the lectures often excellent. Shopping onboard is amazing particularly the jewellery as its a bargain and guaranteed. You can shop with confidence. We cant speak highly enough about cruising anyway and Cunard doesnt disappoint in anyway. One important point to stress that if you have a disability or condition which makes it difficult to travel then definitely Cruise. You couldnt be better looked after and the ship has amazing facilities. If youre tempted to try the QM2 there is even a kennels for your pooch and a planetarium for added interest. The QV also compares favourably and we cant wait for the new edition to the fleet. As for budget cruising is cheaper on many itineraries than traditional packages and easier to control a budget. Even your luggage is taken care of efficiently so no worries there. Well see you in board no doubt.
