It was to be the trip of a lifetime, it did not fail....Cunard Queens are refined cruising with excellent food, outstanding entertainment and unrivalled enrichment. I made the most of the facilities in the gym, enjoyed classes in watercolour painting, line dancing and ballroom dancing. The post dinner shows in the on-board theatre were West End standard and on Queen Mary 2 the planetarium is a must visit for sky viewing and also watching films. There is so much to do on board, you can't actually fit it all in, but we did have to do Afternoon tea including Tea Dances on occasion with the band playing. Also Cocktail events were good fun! The itinerary was fantastic too, seeing most of the continents and crossing the equator and the international deadline was fantastic. Must sees and never forgets are Tahiti and Bora Bora, the Panama and Suez canals, approaching New Yark before dawn and San Francisco at sunrise, and there is no better way than by Queen Elizabeth to arrive into Sydney Harbour at sunrise! South East Asia left me speechless with its beauty and it's craziness, Singapore is so clean and the Gardens by th Bay had me captivated by their beauty both during the day and lit up at night, the view from the top of the Marina Bay Hotel at night was just Magical, closely followed by the nightscape in Hong Kong from the Roof Terrace at the Kerry Hotel. The UAE is something to see, so ultra modern and ostentatious next to old souks selling everything you can think of! The Houseboat in India was one of the highlights of our trip, everyone should do this once, a visit to India will whet the appetite for a return trip, one day was really not enough there. 122 days on two Queens taking in five continents was certainly the trip of a lifetime for me, when can I do it again???
