Cruise to The Norwegian Fjords...
Overall I thought this was the greatest cruise. The staff and crew were great, the cruise director was great, Sue Denning was outstanding. We were on SS Ocean Breeze April 2003, the ship was scrapped in Bangladesh, June 2003, Carnival Miracle, Royal Caribbean Vison of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas, Norwegian Breakaway. The Celebrity Silhouette was the best. The food was good, and the staff and the waiters were great. We used the buffet and the Grand Cuvee Dining Room, we did not do any of the special dining. The shore excursions that we picked were great, but remember as soon as you get aboard head to the Shore Excursions Desk (Deck 3) , shore excursions get filled up quickly. Norwegian Fjords were beautiful, we loved Gerirangerfjord, Norway. This was Norway. Stavanger, Norway was great too. Great history. We had lunch at Burger King. We were looking for McDonald's, but couldn’t it find it. All the ports were all interesting and great to visit. What I liked we were not forced to buy stuff, the ports were nice to walk around. This place is not the Caribbean were they try to get passengers to buy on the ship and off the ship, Celebrity Silhouette didn’t do this. Great place to tour. I thought the ship was great and fun to explore. We did find on most of all the cruise ships that we were on that the ship stores or shops are way overpriced and sometimes toward the end of the cruise there are some bargains to be found. We did found some good bargains on our Alaskan cruise. We used the hideaway (Deck 7 and 8), the card room (Deck 9), the library (Deck 10). The theater shows were great. I would do a Celebrity Cruise Ship again.
