Our Alaska cruise aboard Celebrity Millennium was amazing. The scenery was stunning with snow capped mountains and beautiful greenery on the lower levels. The wildlife was abundant with sea otters, bald headed eagles, humpback wales and seals to name just some of them. The glaciers we visited were amazing and travelling through the ice field with the ice pilot on board was an amazing experience. The best cruise ever on an amazing ship with a wonderful crew. The ship was beautifully decorated with lots of polished wood and chrome. We sailed from SAN Francisco under the Golden Gate Bridge, stopping at Seattle to take in the amazing Fish market and Space needle. In Alaska we visited Ketchikan where we saw the tribal totem poles with stunning carvings. Juneau saw us visiting a Fish canning factory and an old water mill. Skagway was our favourite stop with so much to see. The old style saloon where we sampled a cold beer. The massive snow plough for use on the train travelling through the mountains. The cemetery with the graves of the famous Western bandits and the scenery which was stunning when we went up high and looked down on Skagway. We were lucky enough to see a plane land utilising the road as the airport. Back on board we went to the talks on board which told you al about the area and the wildlife to look out for. We enjoyed the shows on at the Theatre. The evening entertainment in the bars and the casino were very good. Food and drink was very good both for quality and availability. The Highlight was sailing slowly through the ice field wrapped up warm with a steaming hot chocolate drink in my hand and being entertained by a sea otter and the by the glacier calving a huge sheet of ice. Well done Celebrity Cruises.
