Quality of Food:
The Dining Room was superb for free food!

All of the Eclipse cast's shows were fantastic however I'd particularly recommend Amade. YouTube it!
Shore Excursions:
I did my own tours rather than anything arranged on board. My favourites though were the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz.
Staff:
Terence Ryan and Laura Wood. Two exceptional and dedicated dancers in the cast.

Perfect size and well looked after each and every day.
I've recently returned from a cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse. The entire ship was beautiful. The shops were decorated superbly.. Dare I say real marble? Cafe Al Bacio was the perfect place to unwind at any time of the day... Watch out for the cakes though! Too many and you'll be buying new clothes sooner than anticipated. In terms of bars, it's a case of take your pick! I lost count of how many there were but the service in each was exceptional. From the delivery of your beer or wine to the presentation of your cocktails, the bar staff were only too happy to help. The food from the speciality restaurant to the dining room was superb. In the dining room, you were recognised instantly and your drink choices were remembered each night. There was a fantastic choice of starters and mains each night - with regular staple starters and mains so you were guaranteed something you liked! The after dinner course was standard each night and provided a wide selection of favourites. The speciality restaurants were something to behold. You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in an expensive London restaurant!! Available for a reasonable extra fee, I would recommend it to anyone. I was only able to try Murano and Tuscan Grille - that's how popular and fully booked they all were, but my word the quality was a sensation. The service. The quality. The decor. The starters. The Mains. The wine. And if you had room for more then quite frankly you were lucky! The entertainment team were incredible and every single production show they produced was captivating and well worth watching - twice a night in some instances! A personal favourite of mine was Amade - a fusion of Mozart with a modern twist - it brought light and shade, humour and intensity. All this through an incredibly delivered vocal and dance production to modern music. The captain and the cruise director played off each other well to provide humour and timely updates to all onboard. You could never say you weren't sure of what was happening onboard this incredible ship. A special mention must go to the captain on day 3. We were due to tender in Monteray, CA but it was deemed to unsafe due to the weather and waves. So what were we to do? Have an extra sea day? Slow down? No! Phone ahead to San Francisco and get an extra day and night there! And wow, what an experience it was. Just. Wow. Infact, all ports of call were great. From the quaint and quiet Astoria to the busier Seattle, there was something to do for everyone. To conclude, would I recommend this ship? Without a doubt yes. My only regret is that I can't be back on it sooner. Bravo Celebrity, Bravo.
