Our last 5 cruises have been with P&O, but sadly their standards, especially food have definitely slipped. So we looked elsewhere and were not disappointed with our choice of Celebrity Cruises and Celebrity Constellation. Our cruise was from Singapore to Abu Dhabi. Constellation was lovely, it's going for a refit next year so will be even better. The food was superb as well as the Service and Entertainment., could do with some more activities on sea days, but entertainment around the ship was of a high standard. The ambience is more informal than P&O and better for it. The breakfast and lunch Buffets are of a high standard, both choice wise and quality, and Dinner was of a high standard - see my expanded waistline! Only Cons are they try too hard with up selling drink packages etc early on in the Cruise. But easy to resist. They could also provide information on the Ports visited with a handout on Port Details as you arrive, something P&O are good at. In addition the Towels are also whiter and fluffier on P&O and the Cabin Stewards are probably not quite as good on Constellation, although no complaints on cleanliness etc. Would we go back to P&O, no not after this experience, Celebrity is definitely a class or 2 above P&O and will definitely use Celebrity again although will we will use Concierge Class not Aqua as on this Cruise. We did not not find any advantage with Aqua, dined in Blu once and much preferred San Marco Restaurant food and service. The excursions were pricey but on the whole good. Loved Sri Lanka, Kerala, Mumbai and Muscat. Cruise.co were excellent Holly Crabtree really looked after us, even to the lovely touch of texting us her 24 hr contact, should any problems arise. Didnt need it as everything ran smoothly.
