Yes. Before her massive 2027 transformation, she sailed as the Oceania Nautica. She was originally built in 2000 as part of the famous R-Class ships. As part of the OceaniaNEXT program, she is being stripped down and entirely rebuilt to emerge with a new name and a new mission.

To create a more spacious "home at sea," Oceania reduced the number of cabins from 335 to just 238. This means the ship hosts fewer than 500 guests (476 at double occupancy), served by a dedicated crew of 400.
