WORLD CUP EVERY 4 YEARS… BUT A WORLD CRUISE, EVERY YEAR.

You might only get to enjoy a World Cup once every four years but you could enjoy a World Cruise every year, and that’s not as daft as it might sound. World cruises for upto 200 days may seem out of your league…     but let me share with you some of the reasons they are not.

When I started in the cruise business around 32 years ago, I often wondered who really did take full world cruises. My thought was that the cruise lines advertised these but the ship must have only ever been filled with people doing short sectors – all world cruises are broken down into shorter sectors – and so in my mind very few people were away for the full duration. I could not have been more wrong with my thinking.

It might interest you to know that many cruise lines – Cunard, P&O, Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, Crystal, Oceania, Viking, Cruise & Maritime – first open up their cruises to people who want the full duration…      and with both past and new guests, they fill much space in this way. Good reasons behind this of course. It’s a far less expensive marketing and promotional exercise to sell in this way because the more people they get on the full cruise, the less space they have left to promote and hence lower costs for the cruise line.

What about cost? A full world cruise will cost much less than you think. Catch me in a good mood and I might even throw a little extra in to the bargain. You will often get onboard spending money too. I know what you’re thinking and it’s a lot of money…     but is it really?

This was the way I always thought but then I started thinking differently.

Break the cost down into bite size bits and it becomes entirely more appealing and affordable. Now, think. World cruises typically leave the UK at the start of January and take you away from the worst of the British winter to sunnier and hotter climates around the world. Get away for that period and you’ll be saving on your home gas, electricity, telephone, car, food, entertainment, day to day living costs…     so, the bottom line is you could be saving half the cost of the cruise in the savings made on all these items. Costs will vary according to your personal circumstances but you get my point. Thrown into the bargain is the appeal of seeing the world.

Shorter trips can appeal too and most cruise lines offer a wide range of shorter sectors.

I have not given any figures here for good reason. A world cruise is something that you need to discuss one on one with me and I will be keen to help you in any way I can.

I challenge you to call me and discuss a world cruise with me.
