Drinks package i hear you say??

Finally P&O have announced that they will offer drinks packages! After a little trial last year on board Azura they have decided to now offer drinks packages across the fleet, this has took a while after the trial as we had not heard anything for a long time, but here it is!

They will be launching on different dates for different ships –

There is four packages on offer –

This includes an array of beers, spirits, cocktails and wines by the glass up to £6.95, also draught soft drinks, mocktails and small bottles of water and coffee and tea.

Also if travelling with children under 16 they will get the kids package free when you purchase the Ultimate package for the adults!

The drinks packages will be available on all cruises of 5 nights or more and are only bookable once on board, you will be able to purchase your drinks package from any bar on board up until midnight on the second night of your cruise. Another thing we often get asked is if one person in the cabin can get a drinks package if the other doesn’t want one, well the answer is no – all passengers in the cabin must purchase the same drinks package.

So what a your thoughts on this? Do you think it is a good move? Personally i think it is a good idea, most other cruise lines do offer a drinks package and i think the prices are reasonable that P&O have got a pretty good in comparison.

If you have a few soft drinks and tea’s and coffee’s and few alcoholic drinks in the evening then it soon all adds up, however if you’r not a drinker then the non alcoholic is good value too.

It’s all down to personal choice and what people prefer, at least now customers have the option.

Bye for now.
