P&O go All Inclusive

At long last P&O are considering going all inclusive, but first they are trialing the package on a few Azura cruises now, the first sailing being on the 21st July.

For years passengers have been asking for a drinks package, in-line with many other cruise lines.

So what does the trial look like?

Well first of all the cost and what does it include?

P&O will charge £39.95 per person per day for this All-Inclusive package, compare to the likes of Fred Olsen and Thomson, two British cruise lines with an all-inclusive in place I think this is quite expensive, typically Freds will do a drinks package for around £15pp per day and Thomson £29pp per day.

On board P&O I think the drink prices are reasonably priced so again I think the package price is high.

If the trial is successful they may roll it out on all ships soon who knows, this package can only be pre-booked once onboard and must be taking out by the end of day 2.

But what is the success? Is it a happy cruise line or a happy sailor?

So, paying your £39.95 each day what it gets you

It also does come with some restrictions

Every adult in the same cabin has to purchase the package, and like most cruise lines you are not allowed to share a package

This is only available on cruises of 5 nights or more

You are also limited to 15 drinks a day in a 24-hour period so from 6am-6am, so £39.95 divided by 15 drinks equals ££2.60 per drink, not bad.

Only one drink at a time may be purchased also a minimum wait between orders of 15 mins

Over 18 years of age <21 in US waters>

All bottle and cans will be served to you open

A very good perk is that all children will receive a ‘FREE’ drinks package

What do you think of this? Good value for money? Would you purchase it?

Let me know your thoughts.
