Single Cruisers on NCL

I have recently attended the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) road show in Birmingham, myth buster, they are not Norwegian, they do not even sail to Norway ! They are in fact American owned.

The Single traveller, this really impressed me as we often get calls from people who for one reason or another are travelling alone and sometimes this can be a very scary prospect. When my sister sadly divorced many years ago she really did not have any great holidays as she did not have anyone to travel with, it was also very expensive with many of the cruise lines charging 100% occupancy, I bet if this was around then she would have been off !! On the Epic there are 128 dedicated single cabins, but there is more to it than that……………………

Studio Staterooms – Ideal for the Solo Traveller
Freestyle Cruising is the perfect choice for single cruise holidays. The friendly, informal on-board ambience means it’s easy to make new friends when you choose to, while fun activities from wine tasting to art auctions offer a great chance to get together. And when you go ashore on a Norwegian Cruise Line Shore Excursion, you’ll be exploring exciting new destinations with like-minded people.
Norwegian Epic takes singles cruises to whole new level with a unique category of accommodation – Studios – designed and priced expressly for solo travellers. The Studios are located in a private keycard-access complex with its own exclusive Studio Lounge, where you meet fellow single cruisers over coffee or cocktails or simply relax on your own if you prefer. Each Studio has a full size bed, a one-way window (with blind) to the corridor and separate areas for the toilet sink and shower.
Whichever ship you choose, Freestyle dining gives you the freedom and flexibility to dine when and where you choose, so if you want to meet up with new friends over lunch or dinner, it couldn’t be easier.

What is not mentioned here is the notice board in the exclusive studio lounge, on here if you want to go off for the day but do not want to run about by yourself you can put a notice up and get a group together, I only have one word for it BRILLIANT !

Now the 64 million dollar question , cost ?? I did an actual live costing only today on 11th June 2014 sailing, the price per person was £726.00 for two sharing and £808.00 for a single, fantastic (based on cruise only).
