The Life Of A Cruise Agent

QM2 smoking on board

I admit to being a smoker and while I know it is not a popular habit , there are still many people who partake ! All smoking on balconies has stopped since March 2014, I personally think this has happened because of a few inconsiderate people that have now changed the rule for all.

We were lucky enough to be on the Queen Mary 2 for our annual conference for three nights, and had a wonderful time, I am now much fitter than I was before the trip.

There are only two places outside where you can smoke, decks seven and eight Aft of the ship, our cabin was on deck six forward . The QM is 345 metres in length, a football pitch is 105 metres , so as you can imaging this was quite a trek !!

To our delight (the smokers) there is a section of the nightclub, upstairs, where you can smoke

And while you can party with the rest of the crowd, you can pop up a few stairs and have a “ciggie” while seated in comfortable chairs and still hear the music, you can even take along your favorite tipple !

I did not hear any complaints, and for me this made the evenings a lot easier than walking 700 meters , in my heels !
