After a recent welcome home call to a customer who had a fantastic time aboard Fred Olsen he shared his experience of ordering his ” currency to collect” on board his cruise. He was travelling to Norway, so not your usual Euros or Dollars. He told me prior to the cruise he was going to do this so I was interested to find out what happened.
You can order your currency beforehand, paying by card, there is no commission fee and when you arrive you simply collect it from reception, he was very impressed, all went smoothly. But another good point, he could sell back (while on board) any unused currency at the same rate !
After having worked in the high street I know that you can loose anything from 15-20% on the buy back rate so I thought this was a fantastic service and I will most definitely be mentioning it to all of my Fred Olsen customers before they sail in the future.
