The longest cruise ever?

Viking Cruises have revealed details of possibly the longest cruise ever departing 31st August 2019. It will be 245 days long which by my calculation is over 8 months! It will visit no less than 59 countries in 113 different ports and will visit all continents apart from Antarctica. What a way to see the world! and it’s only 930 passengers in total on board the Viking Sun and it will be leaving London at the end of August 2019 and back in London at the beginning of May 2020! Sounds fantastic! Prices start at $117,995 for a balcony cabin or the owner suite at a bargain of $342,895 which is already sold out. The voyage is almost twice as long as Viking’s 2017 world cruise, which was a comparatively brief 141 days (four and a half months). It’s not for everyone, I know, as I couldn’t afford to be away for such a long time and I don’t know if I would want to be on a ship for that long, but some people, possibly retired and time in their hands that would love it! and hey you only live once, don’t you? Viking will also offer guests an option to sail one of two shorter segments during the cruise. Guest can choose between Viking World Treasures, a 127-day sailing from London to Los Angeles that visits 33 countries and 61 ports, or Viking World Wonders, a 119-day journey from Los Angeles to London that visits 29 countries and 55 ports. As with all Viking itineraries, passengers on the world cruise will receive a complimentary shore excursion in each port and free unlimited Wi-Fi. Also included for world cruise passengers is business class flights to reach the ship, transfers, on-board gratuities, service fees and several other extras. Would you fancy that? Seeing the whole world in one cruise. It is selling very well so you need to be quick.
