Rocking & Rolling To Dublin Part 2

I would firstly like to wish all of my readers a very Happy New Year.  I hope you all enjoyed the celebrations and are keeping to those New Year’s Resolutions!!

As promised here is the second part of my blog about our company Christmas Conference to Dublin.

I finished the first part of my blog having arrived in Dublin after a very bumpy crossing and being a casualty of sea sickness.  I used to think I would never suffer with this but I was definitely wrong this time!

Anyway now I was safely on dry land it was time to get off the ship and head in to Dublin.  We had a bar booked for us in Temple Bar called Badbobs for a private party so I get on the free shuttle in to the centre and walked to Temple Bar.  For a Monday Night the atmosphere was really buzzing in Temple bar and we all had a lovely time relaxing away from work

5 of us headed back early to the ship to take advantage of the drinks package we had on board!  We had a very chatty taxi driver who was 78(!) and sung Molly Malone to us!!

The next day we set sail again and it was a full day of conference meeting lots of different suppliers and finding out all the news for 2019.

We all separated into our teams for lunch in the main dining room which was a good chance to chat with people you normally only speak on the phone to.  Here is my team enjoying our lunch

Unfortunately in the afternoon we had a few casualties of the weather!  The sea was very rough coming home and a lot of my colleagues unfortunately missed the afternoon of conference due to being confined to their cabin.  Luckily I had taken a sea sickness pill so managed to get through

In the evening we were all supposed to be going in to the main dining room for a Gala Dinner but there were quiet a few people missing.  It was a shame as the meal was delicious and we got to see a Baked Alaska Parade.  If you have not seen or heard of this it is when all the restaurant and kitchen staff parade around the restaurant with Baked Alaskas and all the guests wave their napkins in the air

The following morning we were back in Bristol and back on the coach on the way home.  It was a fantastic conference and I am really looking forward to see where we end up next year.

I hope you all enjoyed reading about this.

Until next time….Happy Cruising!
