Is P&O becoming too casual???

P&O have made a few changes this week, one of them is to relax the dress code on 4 ships within their fleet. The Adonia, Aurora, Arcadia and Oriana will now join the rest of the fleet by having just two dress codes, Black Tie & Evening Casual. This now means that if you are a gent, on an ‘Evening casual’ night you could actually get away with wearing smart jeans and a polo shirt down to the restaurant.

For ladies we can wear trousers and a top or a casual dress. You’ll be pleased to hear that they have drawn the line at football shirts, tracksuits and trainers.

I’m not sure how this will go down with the adult only ships, as many of my passengers do enjoy to getting dressed up and I think this will be just a little too casual for their liking. It will certainly help with space in your suitcase but is it taking the shine off the dining experience which is still such a big part of a cruise holiday.

Cruising certainly is moving with the times, what do you think?  Are you a fan of casual dress codes or do you think it’s all getting a bit too relaxed with not much effort involved??????
