Festival fun summer’s officially arrived

FestivalBoggy fields with mud up to your knees, wet damp drizzly mornings with the smell of strong coffee wafting through the zip of the tent door, the cracking open of the paracetamol packet at 6am and your neighbours still partying round the illegal camp fire from the night before as you stretch light a sloth emerging from your tent, yes it’s here, festival time has arrived once again.

We’re heading down to the Isle of Wight Festival tomorrow with 6 friends and work colleagues to prove yet once again we have not quite yet hit middle age. When I make this comment I am mostly referring to my partner Mark who will be celebrating his 46th Birthday on Saturday without doubt supporting an immense hangover.

This year should be good with ‘Red Hot Chilli peppers’ followed by the world cup football on the huge screens in the main arena, I’m sure even the non-football fans including myself with be in true patriotic spirit. We’ve also got Kings of Leon, Calvin Harris, Passenger, Suede, The Specials, The Waterboys, Clean Bandit, Travis, Katy B, the list goes on and on……

Now you may never have considered heading to a music festival before due to the thought of all that mud & rain, don’t worry I have found the perfect solution for you.

As Saturday’s Marks Birthday I’ve booked for all of us to spend a couple of hours ‘Bathing under the sky’. This is a company we stumbled upon last year, and it was the most unlikely thing I’ve found yet at a music festival. A field full of cedar wood fired Swedish hot tubs bubbling away with fresh clean hot water housing party goers clutching glasses of Champagne. Fantastic, what more could you with for, this will be us on Saturday, possibly not looking quite so refreshed though!!!!

As I’m sure we’ll all be in need of a good scrub by Saturday this is going to be perfect. This year they’ve even got the first open top bus with hot tubs scattered on the top deck for the VIP’s if you fancy splashing out.
