Above and beyond

Now I’m all for going the extra mile for customers but this is one mile I’ve not achieved yet on my bucket list yet!!!!!!

I had to laugh last week when a British 20 year old female Virgin airline passenger was arrested for fraternising with a male companion in the toilet on a flight from Gatwick to Las Vegas.

This story would not be anything really new to happen in life but what made it comical was the fact that the gentleman she was with was apparently a complete stranger sat in the next seat to her, and she was on board the flight with her parents!!!!

How funny!!!!!

I thought romance tended to be a bit of a taboo subject between children and their parents as most times when I book several generations of cruisers the children are more than happy to have a cabin quite close to the parents or grandparents for babysitting services, but not necessarily next door.

This was obviously not a problem for this young lady as she reportedly struck up a relationship with a man sitting in the next seat and disappeared into the toilet for a bit of fun together.

It was only when fellow passengers started to hear noises that cabin crew were alerted. After refusing to open the door the cabin crew forced their way in, the drunken female hurled abuse at them and subsequently she spent the rest of the 11 hour flight handcuffed to the seat next to her slightly embarrassed parents.

What I would have given to have been a passenger on that plane to see the expression on her parents faces, who needs flight entertainment when you can obviously create your own.

Apparently Richard Branson has been known to comment in the past that he does not mind passengers wishing to join the mile high club on his planes and that virgin are not the type of airline for their crew to be knocking on toilet doors, clearly not the case on this occasion.
