When your daughter turns 7

Last weekend my daughter turned 7 years old!

Where has the time gone?

We had a brilliant time!

My mum came over on Thursday night and stayed with us until Saturday morning.

We had a lovely day in the park and enjoyed cake and coffee in a local coffee shop followed by our dinner in our favourite pub and of course a few drinks.

On Saturday there was an open day at the Firestation so we went along to that. We met 1 of Ella’s friends from school at McDonald’s for lunch and then headed over to the fire station.

There were plenty of rides for the kids and a fire engine to sit in and have photos. It was great. The rescue dog even showed up!

Sunday was her actual birthday so we had a lovely lazy morning opening her pressies and then went for a walk along the canal in the afternoon. The weather cleared up and we enjoyed some sunshine!

That evening we went with the family to our favourite Italian restaurant. The waiters and all the other guests sang Happy Birthday to Ella which was lovely!

The following weekend we had a party for Ella’s friends at a play centre. The play centres are brilliant, the mums and dads can just sit back while the kids run around and play party games.

We had a few drinks and food for the parents at our house after and the clean up on Sunday was no too bad!

The next morning she opened all the pressies and we had plenty of crafty things to work on and enjoy.

It was nice being over 2 weekends and we managed to celebrate with everyone!

All back to normality now and a new year at school!

Planning now for the summer holidays next year!
