Brand new Celebrity Apex

Celebrity Cruises have announced that their brand new Celebrity Apex will be ready a little bit earlier than expected so added 2 cruises to the programme sailing from Southampton.

1st April 2020 for 4 nights and 5 April for 8 nights.

I would have been looking at this mini cruise if I didn’t have the Ventura booked in May!

Both sailings include a drinks package, gratuities and car parking at Southampton

The Apex will be the biggest ship in the Celebrity fleet – similar to the Celebrity Edge which was launched last year.

The feature including the magic carpet which is a restaurant/ bar which moves up and down the side of the ship! It is an amazing feature and has been really popular onboard the Edge.

The pool deck is magnificent! Offering excellent views and the design will be all glass so the view is uninterrupted.

This theme continues into the cabins. New to Celebrity Edge is the infinite balcony staterooms

These cabins are designed to bring the ocean even closer!

 You can choose to have the balcony closed offering a larger cabin with lovely views or you can open up the balcony with a switch. This opens the window allowing the balcony experience. You can also close off a door to offer the balcony separate. It is very clever.

I this these will also be very popular on the Apex

The cabins have lots of storage space. There is a 3 drawer dresser and a mini-fridge. The tabletop can be stored away to create more space.

USB portals and plenty of sockets

The bathrooms are well designed.

There is even a clever control panel which controls the temperature, lets you adjust the lighting in the cabin and even drop the blinds! 

My favourite feature on this ship is the rooftop garden. There will be park seating areas and games. There will be a bar and restaurant. Perfect for a lovely chilled out drink!
