Richard's Cruise Ramble

Those annoying nuisance phone calls……

This week my blog topic is a little bit different.  It is though a subject that effects myself and most of my passengers I am sure.

Due to the nature of my work I spend a large amount of my day on telephone calls to my new and existing clients.

I do like, as much as I can, to get in touch with my clients before they depart on their cruises to wish them “bon voyage” for their upcoming sailing and see if they need any last minute help.

Quite often when I call my passengers un-announced they always sound a little uncertain when they answer the phone.  As soon as they find out that it is me they are relieved as the think it “may be on of those calls trying to sell them something again”.

I must say that I get these random calls at home as well from time to time, even though I am signed up for the Telephone Preference Service.

Registering for the Telephone Preference Service should stop all of these unsolicited calls as it is a legal requirement that these companies do not call numbers registered with the TPS, it certainly helps to reduce them, unfortunately it doesn’t stop them all.

You can register for the TPS at the following link if you think it will help you.
