Just back from MSC Preziosa

I have just returned from a sailing on the MSC Preziosa for 7 nights on a Southampton round-trip to Rotterdam, Bruges, Hamburg and Le Harve.  We sailed together in a group of four, my fiance Sarah, my dad, his partner Sue and myself. My dad and Sue stayed in a Balcony cabin and we had an Inside cabin.

I had sailed previously with MSC and although had not found their cruises without fault at times, like most other cruise lines,  I still enjoyed them and thought that they were excellent value for money.

Before sailing I had seen recent reviews online which were quite a mixed bag as often you get with most ships, so I was interested to see how things were especially with the fact that the Preziosa had made a few small changes to try and please the British market with extras such as tea and coffee making facilities in the cabin (Nescafe coffee and Yorkshire tea).

I have to say that we had an amazing time on the Preziosa, all of us found it hard to pick any faults at all. The ship was beautiful and spotlessly clean. The crew of the Preziosa were a real credit to MSC, they were so happy and the service that we found throughout the entire ship was top quality. Our waiters at dinner Agus Suryawan and Abhishek Kumar were particularly outstanding and their amazing service was one of the cruise highlights for me personally. Also our cabin steward Suharyanto was did a very good job, thank you.

We had a drinks package included and all agreed that this was excellent value for money and they quality of the drinks included was very high with a very large menu to choose from.

The food throughout the ship was good we all agreed, whether it be the buffet, the main Golden Lobster restaurant or the Butchers Cut speciality dining restaurant that we ate in one evening.

I can’t report too much on the shows as we weren’t too interested in seeing them I am afraid but there were some good singers and other entertainers around. We didn’t come across anyone who we believed was not of a good standard.

This was my dad’s first cruise experience. He has previously sailed with P&O, Marella and NCL. My dad’s last cruise experience was on P&O Britannia which he said that they really enjoyed, however he said that he actually prefers the MSC Preziosa to the Britannia after this cruise experience.

Below are most of my pictures taken whilst away. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks again MSC for an excellent cruise experience.
