Back At Sea

Firstly, I want to say a big hello to everyone, I have not posted anything in a while, the cruise world has felt like it’s been under seige for the past 18 months but things are moving in the right direction, ships are sailing and now….. so am I!

Also, a huge welcome back to the waters. So many of my guests have been through so much with me during this time and we have done our very best to keep our sense of humour and come out the other side, thank you to all of you.

It has been so long, I cannot tell you how excited I am right now, just a few more days and I will be on the Celebrity Silhouette. I have not been on this ship before, I have sailed on Infinity, this is going to be awesome, she has had a major regeneration and I will keep you posted.

I know how hard it has been for just about everyone and I have to say, the travel industry has really taken it’s fair share of troubles, but we are here and ready to board.

As well as having had both my jabs, I also have to head off tomorrow for a PCR test, courtesy of Celebrity. From Swindon I am travelling to Bristol, I could have arranged one locally and claimed it back from the cruise line but I have chosen to follow the same path as every other guest.

I have downloaded the NHS App for access to Vaccine details, insurance is all in place, just need to decide what the weather may or may not do – jumpers and wet weather or will the sun shine on us? Then just head down to Southampton on Saturday, book my spa trips and enjoy.
