Another Season over!

Well folks, I said I would update you with how our season ended, so here goes…..

We got as far as the Semi-Final in the Super Cup.  Taffs Well unfortunately played a better game than us and they were deserved winners.  Despite this upsetting loss, we can hold our head high and if you had told me what we were going to achieve this season last September, I would have laughed in your face.  Considering half our team had never played rugby before, and some of our experienced players were playing out of position, we still finished Division 3 as Champions (and undefeated at that), 2nd in Division 2A and Semi-Finalists in the Super Cup!  Oh and did I mention undefeated at home!

I know a few of blogs are about how the season goes and such like.  But it is because it is something that I am passionate about, and when I get passionate about something I love to talk about it.

The way we have come together as a team this season, fills me with confidence for the season(s) ahead for us as a team.  As i can honestly say this team has become my second family, and it was good to celebrate with the girls at the end of the season by having presentation on Saturday night.  Not so fortunate for myself who took unwell and have now ended up with tonsillitis, so unfortunately didn’t get to celebrate with the girls, but I was proud of the girls who won their awards and the girls that have been nominated captain and vice captain.  Overall it was just good to all relax and mend before preseason starts.  As they say the show must go on, and preseason for myself starts now as I have the little matter a “Race For Life 5K” to run in July, so my training starts now.

Thought I would leave you with some photos from the season that we have had.

Until next time………
